Walk your tissue to the garbage can and drop it in, if you are not too sick to do so. You may not have any symptoms, or look like you are sick, but spreading germs is still possible.

Get regular exercise. When the weather turns and colds and flu start to become more common it’s tempting to stay inside and insulate yourself from the world. Keeping your body strong is necessary to beat back colds and infections, and the best way to do this is stay physically active. At least fifteen minutes of exercise is something you need to plan for each day.

There is a good chance you will get sick, if you are around too many people who are sick, so stay away from them, even if that seems cruel. It is important to you and your family to remain as healthy as you can, so there is nothing wrong with staying away from those who are at risk for passing on the flu or a cold.

There is another possible solution, and that is to provide assistance to others, by having vitamin C for them, or hand sanitizers, along with keeping surfaces clean that all come in contact with, and whatever else works. If you are a social creature, this will most likely work best for you. If getting sick is a big concern for you, staying at home is what you should do, or at least be cautious who you are around.

A cold or the flu can not be cured by doing anything. You can do things that will prevent the flu or a cold before you get either of them.
